i had never had pets in my life, thanks to my mum. she doesn't hate pets, but she just can't stand their furs and all hairy stuff...even stuff toys. i remember when i was about 9, there was a stray dog that gave birth to 2 cute little puppies nearby our house. i brought one of them home, and was locked out of the house for 2 hours until i get rid of the puppy. since then, i can just watch those people that have pets with envy eyes. today, i am officially a pet owner.
i adopted a little kitten that's 2 months old, male, white with a few orange patches on it's body. cats has always been my favorite among the various types of pets, they are elegant, playful with a bit of dignity, and are so hard to resist them when they're being cute. and thus, didi, which means little brother as he's the youngest of his siblings, became my special companion for a part of my life, starting from today.
didi, i notice, has a kind of acknowledgement between me and him. he wants to be caress and lay against my feet when he wants to sleep, he doesn't like to be force fed, and will come when i calls for him. and oh, he likes to follow around my foot. i almost step on him as he's still so small. he has a bunny tail, still a tail mind u, and is very proud of it as he hold his little orange tail up high. he likes to play hide n seek, and disappear when i did not notice, but reappear from somewhere when i call him. he stares me with his blue almond eyes when i try to teach him something, as if he's trying soo hard to understand me and will nibble my toes and fingers when i ignore him. he's still trying to adapt to this new home and i will certainly do my best to help him.
although he can't read this blog just yet(he's snoozing now, after an hour of playing catch the feet), i'm sure he'll be estatic to see his photo and an article about him posted on a blog in the morning when i'm showing this to him.

Marriage
Congrats to my best fren who's getting registered next year!! I'm very surprise and happy for her and wish her all the best with her to-be hubby!!
Talking about marriage made me think wat is the real meaning of marriage. Commitment? Love? wat is love? Do u marry someone becoz u love him/her? or do u marry someone becoz u're suitable with each other?
I think that love is the basis for any marriage. Love encompases understanding, making sacrifices for each other, and that's what a successful marriage needs and a lot more. Without these, i think even the most suitable couple would not stand each other very long. And that's wat a marriage is, to find a life-time partner who understands your needs and vice versa, is willing to make sacrifices for each other, and comfortable with each other's presence to create a happy (with ocassional fights to make it more lively) family.

Names are control by the government??
Another stupid effort of the government to control our life. Government has list out names that are "discouraged" for the people to use, that includes animal names, company names, household item names, fruit names, names of natural disaster, names of colours, and all other inappropriate names or names that sounds like inappropriate. It says in the paper that if we insist on using any of the name in the list, we can appeal to the registration.
The government procedure is already working very slow, do u think having this rule would make the procedure any faster? And if we appeal, wouldn't there be more time and money spend? Of course, they think that having this rule would make the government work easier, less people would come and change their name in the future!! People choose inappropriate names are because they are uneducated, people who pick Ah Kow, Ah Gu for their children won have much education right? So, the government shud think of how to improve the education system in Malaysia!! Amber Chia the famous model has also found her name to be included in the inappropriate names of list, because Amber is a colour. Well, i think Amber is a pretty name.....
